Twelve exciting experiments \u2013 from baking-soda rockets and magnetic motors to miniature jet planes \u2013 invited them to tinker, discover and have fun. Working together not only sparked a great team spirit, but also allowed the participants to expand their STEM knowledge (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) in a playful and hands-on way.<\/p>\n\n
A particular highlight was the insight into real aviation practice. Students from Diehl Aviation and AviaCert GmbH shared their experiences from study and working life, explained real-world technologies and answered all questions \u2013 including a fascinating glimpse into aircraft certification.<\/p>\n\n
A heartfelt thank you to Marie Auffenberg, Sibel Simlaghai Asl and Celine Holm for their tremendous commitment and the enthusiasm with which they inspired the next generation. This is yet another example of how valuable it is when different organisations pull together \u2013 and how much can be achieved as a result. The workshop was organised by HCAT+ in collaboration with the Hamburg Student Research Centre and supported by the State Institute for Teacher Training and School Development (LI) of the Ministry of Education, Family and Vocational Training. The experiment kit is part of an initiative by the Hamburg aviation cluster \u2013 Hamburg Aviation, Airbus, Lufthansa Technik and HCAT+ e.V. \u2013 working together to foster enthusiasm for technology and support young talent.<\/p>\n\n
